At Fonio, a rapidly growing European leader in AI phone agents for small and medium businesses, the product design team plays a crucial role in shaping user experiences. The company has scaled quickly, serving over 10,000 customers and focusing on building an AI operating system tailored for SMBs. The product design role is embedded within the engineering and product design department, based onsite in Vienna or Munich, contributing directly to core product areas.
The Product Designer will take full ownership of designing key product features, collaborating closely with engineers and company founders. Responsibilities include engaging with customers to gather insights, simplifying complex functionalities into intuitive designs, and advancing the product design system. The role demands hands-on prototyping using AI tools and data-driven iteration to refine user experiences rapidly, emphasizing autonomy and proactive problem-solving.
Candidates should bring at least five years of product design experience, preferably in dynamic, small teams, with a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft in interaction, typography, and motion. Familiarity with design systems, end-to-end feature delivery, and analytical thinking is essential. Fluency in English is required, with German language skills considered advantageous.
