At Fonio, a company specializing in AI voice agents for small and medium businesses, the Global Mobility & Onboarding Specialist role is part of the People Operations team based onsite in Vienna. The company is rapidly growing with a vision to create a fully automated CRM, serving over 10,000 customers. This role focuses on managing the entire onboarding journey for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition from offer acceptance to full integration, including international relocations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and automating onboarding processes, acting as the main contact for new hires, coordinating with various departments to prepare for new joiners, and ensuring compliance with labor and immigration laws. The specialist will also handle global mobility tasks such as visas, work permits, social security, and expat taxation, working closely with external advisors and relocation partners. Monitoring onboarding progress and continuously improving the experience are key aspects of the role.
Candidates should have at least three years of experience in onboarding or global mobility, preferably in startups or scale-ups, with practical knowledge of international immigration and expat tax regimes. Strong English skills are required, with German as a plus.
