Sr. Software Development Engineer in Test (Agentic)

Dialpad is seeking a senior quality assurance engineer to focus on testing its AI voice agent platform. The team develops AI-driven customer experience solutions that integrate voice and digital channels, aiming to resolve customer issues efficiently. The role involves creating automated testing frameworks, evaluating AI response quality, and ensuring system robustness across various components, including APIs, UI, and audio interactions.

The candidate will develop and maintain automation tools, collaborate with AI teams on prompt engineering, and implement performance testing for AI services. They should have extensive experience in software development, proficiency in Python or Java, and familiarity with AI/ML systems and cloud-native SaaS testing. The position offers the opportunity to work remotely or onsite in Canada, with a focus on improving AI system stability and quality.

This role requires at least six years of experience in software engineering or testing, strong programming skills, and knowledge of AI evaluation techniques. The engineer will work closely with distributed teams, contribute to test infrastructure, and help define AI quality KPIs. The position is contract-based, based in Canada, and offers a salary range of CAD 151,000 to 175,000, depending on experience and location.
