The senior data engineer will develop and maintain complex data pipelines, model data in lakehouse formats, and optimize data storage and retrieval. The role involves working with cloud platforms, open table formats, and orchestration tools to ensure reliable data flow for analytics and AI applications.
Daily responsibilities include designing ETL/ELT processes using Python and Spark, managing data in lakehouse environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define metrics and datasets. The engineer will also extend data quality frameworks, lead migration projects, and implement CI/CD practices. Mentoring junior engineers and improving engineering standards are key parts of the role.
Candidates should have extensive experience in data engineering, strong Python and SQL skills, and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
