At Vocca, the engineering team focuses on creating AI voice agents that handle medical calls, aiming to improve healthcare communication. The Lead Engineer for Integrations will oversee the development of a unified, efficient booking system in TypeScript, connecting various medical software. This role involves designing scalable architecture, managing vendor relationships, and leading a team to ensure reliable, fast integrations that support nearly a million calls monthly.
The day-to-day work includes defining technical strategies, making critical decisions on software connections, and ensuring high performance and reliability of the integration layer. The engineer will work closely with sales, operations, and support teams to prioritize integrations and troubleshoot issues. The role demands a strong background in TypeScript, system integration, and experience with complex, real-world APIs, especially in healthcare environments.
