Day-to-day responsibilities include developing Kastle's AI compliance program, creating policies and controls for AI deployment, and maintaining a comprehensive compliance library. The counsel will review agent scripts, negotiate contracts, and work directly with bank compliance teams to address regulatory questions. This hands-on role requires drafting test cases, investigating compliance failures, and advising on risk mitigation to support responsible AI use in consumer and commercial lending workflows.
Candidates must hold a JD with active bar membership and have at least four years of relevant legal or regulatory experience in lending, banking, or fintech environments. The role is based onsite in San Francisco, demanding high ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Experience with AI systems and compliance monitoring is a plus, as is familiarity with loan origination and servicing audits.
