Audio Production Expert (Contract)

This contract position is based onsite at their San Francisco headquarters, working closely with the Voice Production Lead to deliver high-quality voice assets for their AI products.

The expert will manage the entire voice production pipeline, from defining recording specifications to processing raw audio into polished voices. They will interpret customer briefs to create voices that meet specific qualities and maintain high technical standards for audio quality. The role involves collaborating internally with the Voices team and supporting research efforts related to text-to-speech and speech recognition technologies. The position requires strong audio engineering skills and the ability to communicate nuanced voice characteristics effectively.

Candidates should have deep knowledge of audio fundamentals, including recording, editing, and mastering, along with a keen ear for voice qualities such as pitch and timbre. Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for batch processing is beneficial. The hiring process includes a technical take-home assignment and a live review session. This contract role requires the candidate to supply their own equipment and manage their own taxes, with work performed onsite in San Francisco.
