Software Engineer - Systems and Reliablity

At Smallest.ai, the Software Engineer specializing in Systems and Reliability will join the engineering team dedicated to delivering seamless voice interaction experiences. This role entails full ownership of specific services or product segments, from initial design through deployment and ongoing maintenance. The engineer will engage with technologies such as Python, TypeScript, Go, Kubernetes, and AWS, supporting real-time audio processing and multi-tenant API management with concurrency controls.

The daily tasks involve setting clear performance and reliability targets, crafting clean and maintainable code, performing comprehensive testing that covers various scenarios, and overseeing continuous integration and deployment processes. Responsibilities also include developing monitoring tools, managing alerts, creating operational documentation, participating in on-call rotations, and leading incident investigations and reviews. A customer-centric approach guides troubleshooting and system enhancements to minimize manual interventions.

Ideal candidates possess strong foundational knowledge in software engineering and can thoughtfully analyze systems related to operating systems, memory, networking, concurrency, distributed computing, runtime environments, data management, and service reliability metrics.
