Software Engineer - Partner Platform

At Baseten, the Partner Platform team plays a crucial role in connecting the AI ecosystem by integrating with model labs, hyperscalers, and developer platforms. This team builds the infrastructure that enables developers to run AI models in production, focusing on strategic partnerships that enhance Baseten's platform capabilities. The role involves working closely with external engineering teams to translate partnerships into usable products and reusable platform features.

The Software Engineer in this role will lead the technical integration of partners from initial discovery through to production operation. Responsibilities include designing APIs, defining system boundaries, writing production code, and building primitives for identity, provisioning, inference, and billing. The engineer will manage technical delivery across teams, ensure integration reliability, and help shape the future of Partner Engineering at Baseten.

Candidates should have experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, leading cross-team projects, and making sound architectural decisions. Familiarity with API design, failure handling, cloud infrastructure, and debugging across service boundaries is essential. Experience with cloud provider integrations, usage metering, or AI model serving infrastructure is a plus. The position is full-time and hybrid, with offices in multiple North American cities.
