About the role
At Telnyx, a leader in global connectivity, the software engineering team focuses on building innovative infrastructure that enables seamless interconnection through a private multi-cloud IP network and edge technology. The company emphasizes modernizing connectivity solutions and fostering continuous learning within a financially stable environment. This role is part of the backend engineering group responsible for developing core services that power their serverless platform and global control plane.
The Software Engineer will design and implement Go-based backend services that manage customer-facing APIs, resource lifecycles, and workload deployments across edge infrastructure. Daily tasks include creating reliable workflows for deployment and observability, improving developer experience through clean APIs and tooling, and working with Kubernetes to diagnose and resolve performance issues. The engineer will also participate in on-call rotations to maintain service reliability at scale.
Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of backend development experience, preferably with Go or similar languages like Rust or Java, and a strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as retries and idempotency. Familiarity with relational databases, asynchronous processing, Kubernetes, and running highly available services is important. Additional experience with developer tools, serverless platforms, container orchestration, and multi-region operations is a plus. The role is based in EMEA, with offices in Amsterdam and Dublin, and supports a collaborative engineering culture.
