About the role
At Telnyx, the infrastructure engineering team is focused on building a next-generation, cloud-agnostic platform that operates across multiple continents and cloud providers. This platform leverages a private global network and integrates with major cloud services like AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud. The team maintains infrastructure in numerous points of presence worldwide, aiming to deliver highly available and scalable connectivity solutions.
The Infrastructure Engineer, Data role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable database management solutions across virtualized environments and Kubernetes clusters. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to resolve infrastructure challenges, leading database migrations to Kubernetes, supporting disaster recovery and backup strategies, and implementing observability and alerting systems to maintain performance and reliability.
Candidates should have at least three years of experience in Linux-based infrastructure operations, proficiency with deployment and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Ansible, or Terraform, and scripting skills in languages like Bash or Python. Experience managing relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL is essential, while familiarity with non-relational databases, messaging platforms, and observability tools is advantageous. The role offers opportunities for technical growth and cross-functional collaboration within a financially stable and innovative company.
