Manager, Engineering

Tekion Corp is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of over ten engineers at their Bangalore headquarters. The role involves overseeing the development of their innovative automotive cloud platform, which integrates big data, AI, and microservices to enhance automotive retail experiences. The manager will be responsible for technical leadership, project delivery, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment.

Daily responsibilities include guiding system architecture, participating in design reviews, and ensuring high-quality code and operational practices. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams like Product, Design, and QA, and managing distributed teams across US and India. The manager will also mentor engineers, handle hiring, and develop talent, emphasizing technical excellence and team growth.

Candidates should have over ten years of software engineering experience, with at least three years in leadership roles managing large teams. Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, and databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL is essential. Strong problem-solving skills, experience with high-scale SaaS platforms, and excellent communication are required. The position is onsite, full-time, and based in Bangalore, with a focus on building scalable automotive retail solutions.
