Senior Software Engineer – Front-End

At Speechmatics, a leader in Speech Intelligence, the engineering team is focused on expanding their user platform. The role involves developing and refining user-facing features using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong emphasis on product thinking. The engineer will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers to create accessible, high-quality interfaces that enhance user experience and engagement.

Daily responsibilities include owning feature development from conception to deployment, conducting A/B tests, analyzing user data with tools like Mixpanel, and iterating based on feedback. The role requires independent UX/UI decision-making, robust UI testing, and collaboration across teams to deliver impactful features. The engineer will also engage directly with users through interviews to better understand their needs and improve the product.

This position is based in Cambridge, UK, with a hybrid work model involving 2-3 office days weekly.
