Project Manager - Higgs Audio

At Boson AI, the Project Manager role is centered on overseeing the Higgs Audio product line, which includes advanced speech and avatar AI models capable of natural speech generation, voice cloning, and sentiment detection. The team works on delivering these models through APIs, hosting partners, and open-source platforms, serving a broad developer and enterprise customer base. The role is based in either Santa Clara or Toronto, requiring a hybrid work schedule with some travel between offices and to customers.

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and executing Higgs Audio releases, ensuring quality standards are met, managing issue prioritization, and coordinating across research, engineering, and customer teams. Daily tasks include running release schedules, quality control, triaging bugs and feature requests, and maintaining communication with customers to incorporate feedback into the product roadmap. The role demands technical fluency to understand API bugs, evaluation reports, and speech quality, alongside strong project management skills to keep releases on track.

Candidates should have over five years of experience managing software projects, with at least two years on technical products like APIs or ML models. Familiarity with Python, REST APIs, GitHub, and data analysis tools is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with speech or audio technologies, open-source project management, enterprise cloud partnerships, and multilingual abilities. The position emphasizes clear communication, customer focus, and the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity.
