About the role

The GRC Manager will be part of the security team, focusing on developing and maintaining governance, risk, and compliance programs to ensure the platform's security and regulatory adherence. The role involves collaborating with multiple departments to embed compliance into product development and operational processes, ensuring trust and security for clients and stakeholders.
The day-to-day responsibilities include translating regulatory requirements into technical controls, managing audits, overseeing vendor assessments, and supporting customer security inquiries. The candidate will also design security policies, lead risk management initiatives, and promote security awareness across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience managing compliance standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR, ideally within a SaaS or cloud environment.
The position offers a hybrid work environment with locations in San Francisco, Toronto, New York, Montreal, and Seattle, and is suitable for an experienced professional with over five years in security compliance roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security frameworks, excellent communication skills for engaging with technical and executive teams, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup setting. Certifications and cloud security experience are considered advantageous.
